THE CULAG COMMUNITY WOODLAND TRUST

Culag Community Woodland Trust (CCWT) is a registered charity and not for profit community company, based in Lochinver, Sutherland. It manages a local woodland, Culag Wood and owns the Little Assynt Estate which it purchased in 2000 with the support of a number of public and voluntary bodies. CCWT was set up in 1995 for the benefit of the public to promote and provide community woodlands in Assynt, and in furtherance of this aim to: · Assist people to find employment or to train or retrain them for employment · Protect and care for the natural environment · Promote environmental education · Promote appropriate trades and industries · Encourage the provision of recreational facilities
